Week 11 Fantasy Pickups – Hillman Ready for Stretch Run

It seems like every year around this time, a relatively unknown player emerges from an injury, right into starting lineups for the stretch run.  This year, that guy could be Denver Broncos running back, Ronnie Hillman.  Willis McGahee was diagnosed with a torn MCL on Monday – likely ending his ‘fantasy’ season.  It’s still unclear whether or not the Bronocos will actually use Hillman in a featured role, or continue to have him split work with Lance Ball.  However, it is worth noting that even though Ball got first crack at the carries after McGahee went down, Hillman received double his workload by games end.

Hillman’s skill set actually fits the Broncos offense much better than Ball’s, but Ball has the edge in pass protection.  Still, I think it’ll be Hillman that garners the majority of touches in an offense that will rack up yards.  I mean, nobody puts his players in better situations to succeed than Peyton Manning, so I could see Hillman winding up with 100 total yards or a TD in every game the rest of the way.  Plus, there isn’t a single defense left on their schedule that scares me – @KC, TB, @OAK, @BAL, CLE, KC – play him with confidence.

QB – Chad Henne – JAX – No, I don’t expect him to play like he did on Sunday again (354 yards 4 TDs), but if you’re THAT desperate, he does play the Titans this week, so he has a chance at another decent game.

QB – Colin Kaepernick – SF – If he gets the start again this week against New Orleans, I believe he’ll be a top-10 QB.

WR – Justin Blackmon – JAX – Where has this been all season!? Finally, he looked worthy of the 5th overall selection.  Who knows whether it was the Jaguars’/Henne’s focus on getting him the ball, or the fact he actually showed some effort on Sunday, but if it continues this week, he should have another big game.  The Titans can’t stop anyone, and the Jaguars can’t run the ball.

WR – Danario Alexander – SD – Yeap! Sorry, all boasting aside, he’s going to have a big 2nd half of the year.  Even though most of his production came in garbage time on Sunday, he’s still the only down-field play-maker they have.

WR – T.Y. Hilton – IND – Seems like I’ve mentioned him here a few times, and then he follows it up with a dud.  He’s worth the add again, but beware, he’s either boom or bust.

RB – Bryce Brown – PHI – LeSean McCoy may miss Monday’s game with a concussion.  If so, Brown should be the featured back with Dion Lewis sprinkled in.  Oh yea, the matchup is pretty good too – at home vs. Carolina.

RB – Jalen Parmele – JAX – Apparently he’s the new featured back for the Jaguars.  His 24 carries for 80 yards aren’t great, but it’s not like Jennings was stuffing the stat sheet either.

RB – Lance Ball – DEN – Worth adding if you can’t get Hillman.  He could still vulture a TD here or there and pick up solid yards on passing downs.

TE – Visanthe Shiancoe – NE – Could be worked right in as Gronkowski’s replacement. Still, if other guys I’ve mentioned in past weeks (Myers, Allen, Olsen) are available, I’d rather have them.

DEF – St. Louis vs. Arizona – Arizona vs. St. Louis – Denver vs. Kansas City – Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh – New England vs. NYJ – Carolina vs. Philadelphia – Minnesota vs. Chicago

Good luck to everyone this week!  If you have any other questions, feel free to ask us on Facebook or Twitter!
